Iranian Greco-roman wrestlers capture 8 medals in FILA Golden Grand Prix

Iranian Greco-roman wrestlers won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in FILA Golden Grand Prix tournament in Hungary, Szombathely city.

 

Iranian Greco-roman wrestlers won 3 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in FILA Golden Grand Prix tournament in Hungary, Szombathely city.

Iran sent strong team to Hungary including three Olympic gold medalist Hamid Soryan, Omid Noroozi and Ghasem Rezaei.

 

6 times Olympic and world gold medalist Hamid Soryan came back to the mat after 18 months and he achieved gold medal at 59kg.

Taleb Nematpour, a 2013 world champion won 85kg title and 2009 world bronze medalist Habibollah Akhlaghi captured gold medal at 80kg.

Bashir Babajanzadeh, Yousef Ghaderian and Saeid Abdevali were Iranian silver medalists at Hungrian GGP and Olympic champion Omid Noroozi won bronze medal in new weight category 66kg.

Youngster Mohammad Karimi was another Iranian medalist as he placed third at 71kg.
